Attorney General Eric Holder is really taking that whole “it’s not TV, it’s HBO" thing seriously. At a Justice Department event Tuesday that featured stars of the HBO series The Wire, Holder made a direct plea to the show’s creators. “I want to speak directly to Mr. [Ed] Burns and Mr. [David] Simon: Do another season of The Wire.” He drew applause from the audience, who attended to listen to series’ stars Wendell Pierce, Sonja Sohn, and Jim True-Frost talk about protecting children from drug abuse. But one more season wasn’t enough for Holder, who continued “that’s actually at a minimum … If you don’t do a season, do a movie. I want a season or I want a movie. I have a lot of power, Mr. Burns and Mr. Simon.”
