Qantas, the Australian airline company, has grounded its fleet of Airbus A380 airliners, following the emergency landing of one such superjumbo in Singapore. The plane was bound for Sydney when one of the engines "exploded with a loud bang," causing the plane to shake, a passenger said. Debris from the aircraft began to fall from the sky. No one was injured but the airline's CEO said the incident was "significant engine failure." Among other A380 operators, Singapore Airlines said was delaying flights.
