Al Qaeda Readies Women for Attacks

More trouble brewing in Yemen.

The same group that was responsible for the Christmas Day plane bomber is training women, who may be "non Arab" in appearance and traveling on Western passports to attack targets in the West, officials warn. British spy chiefs raised the threat state to "severe" in that country this weekend. Said former White House terrorism adviser Richard Clarke, "They have trained women. There are others who are still out there who have been trained and who are clean skins—that means people who we do not have a record of, people who may not look like al Qaeda terrorists, who may not be Arabs, and may not be men."
