A winter storm is expected to continue blanketing much of the South, Plains, and Rocky Mountains while airlines continue to cancel hundreds of flights ahead of Monday. The Dallas-Fort Worth region is bracing for freezing rain and sleet, with Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport canceling nearly half its scheduled flights after already grounding more than a hundred planes Sunday. Meanwhile, Denver International Airport canceled more than 170 flights on Sunday as Colorado residents continued to dig out from a snowstorm. Authorities warn motorists to brace for hazardous conditions while schools have canceled class in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, and New Mexico.
