BIG NIGHT

Albert Pujols Hits 500th Home Run

Smashes two in one game.

Albert Pujols of the Los Angeles Angels hit his 500th career home run on Tuesday night, making him only the 26th player in Major League Baseball history to reach that milestone. The three-time MVP winner hit not one but two home runs in Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Nationals. Pujols is the only player to hit both his 499th and 500th home run in the same game, and the third youngest to reach the milestone. With Pujols knocking in five runs, the Angels won 7-2. “I knew this year, it was going to happen, whether it was tonight, tomorrow, two months from now. So my goal was just to prepare myself every day to try to help this organization win,” said Pujols.
