Shortly after being “permanently suspended” from Twitter, Infowars founder Alex Jones claimed that he was “taken down” because he “tells the truth.” “This a war. They believe shutting us down will set the precedent for all of this,” he said. The social platform banned Infowars and Jones after the conspiracy theorist said CNN reporter Oliver Darcy had the “eyes of a rat.” Twitter said the comments violated its “abusive behavior policy.” On Infowars, Jones called Darcy a “secret police captain,” insisting he was banned because he “confronted that monster.” “The media spun it like I was bullying the press,” he said. “They’re banning everyone, and they’re using me as the cover story... The gloves are off.”
