Alex Jones, the conspiratorial host of InfoWars, threatened on Friday afternoon to release more audio from his interview with Megyn Kelly, which is set to debut on Sunday evening.
Early Friday morning, Jones released some of the audio, which included promises from Kelly that she would not be doing a "gotcha hit piece" on him. In response to the leak, NBC News said in a statement: “Despite Alex Jones’ efforts to distract from and ultimately prevent the airing of our report, we remain committed to giving viewers context and insight into a controversial and polarizing figure, how he relates to the president of the United States and influences others, and to getting this serious story right. Tune in Sunday.”
So far there have been no new details in the current broadcast.
