Former congressman Allen West is leaving his job at news outlet Pajamas Media after allegedly calling a staffer a “Jewish American princess,” according to a BuzzFeed report Thursday. West admitted to the altercation with the PJ Media employee, but stated that he wasn’t fired and instead quitting to “pursue political aspirations.” Financier Aubrey Chernick asked the staff to keep his departure under wraps in a note from September 16 that said: “In order to focus on political interests, Allen West will transition from his full-time role as director of programming for Next Generation.TV to a twice-a-month contributor of written commentary on PJMedia.com, effective October 1, 2013.”
