Oklahoma Woman Arrested Over Nazi Graffiti at Democrat and Native American Buildings
BIGOTRY
A woman suspected to be behind a spate of racist and Nazi graffiti in Oklahoma targeting Democratic and Native American buildings has been arrested. Allison Johnson, 45, turned herself in Thursday and was booked on a complaint of terroristic threats, NBC News reports. Nazi and other forms of graffiti were found at the state Democratic Party and Chickasaw Nation buildings last week, and more vandalism was reported at the Democratic Party office in Norman on Wednesday. Police in Norman and Oklahoma City said the same suspect is believed to be responsible for the hate crimes. Mark Faulk, chairman of the Oklahoma County Democrats, said after his organization was targeted: “If anything, it’s brought more people together and brought a greater awareness to what we deal with, the racism, the bigotry in Oklahoma.”
