More than a decade after being wrongfully convicted of murder in Italy, Amanda Knox has gotten engaged to her long-time boyfriend. Knox, now a criminal justice advocate, posted a video of herself happily saying “yes” after her boyfriend, Christopher Robinson, used a smoking fake-meteorite and the soundtrack from "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" to stage an alien-themed proposal. “I don’t have a ring, but I do have a big rock. Will you stay with me until the last star in the last galaxy burns out. And then even after that,” Robinson said. “Amanda Marie Knox, will you marry me?” Knox, wearing “Harry Potter” pajamas, said yes and described Robinson’s elaborate proposal as “so cool.” Knox spent four years in an Italian prison after being convicted twice for the murder of her college roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy. After years of outrage over what many saw as a highly flawed case, Italy’s highest court exonerated her in 2015 and she has been rebuilding her life in Seattle.
