Amanpour's New Show

Will be nightly on CNN International.

After covering countless global disasters, Christine Amanpour probably deserves this: The foreign correspondent will be hosting her own nightly show on CNN International. The show is still in its early stages, but will include, in addition to big interviews, reporting and round-table discussions. Amanpour is optimistic about the show, saying that the election of Barack Obama showed that "there is openness, that there is a desire, a hunger to know about the world, and to know about where America is and fits into the world." An edited version will air on weekends on CNN's U.S. channel.
