Amazon has pulled hoverboards from its virtual shelves after reports the popular gadgets’ batteries might cause fires. The online retailer says “for the time being, we are not recommending any hoverboards until they are proven to be safe.” The site has removed the models featured on BestReviews.com. There have been several media reports of the self-balancing scooters catching fire or exploding.
