Amber Alert Issued for 2-Year-Old NYC Girl Taken From Home
Officials issued an Amber Alert Wednesday for a 2-year-old girl who was reportedly stolen away by her father, who is not legally permitted to spend time with her unsupervised, according to a report from NBC4. Seniya Benitez, who has been diagnosed with autism, lives with her grandmother. But after Benitez’s father, Christian, got into a fight with the grandmother on Tuesday, he reportedly took Benitez from the home. Authorities told NBC4 that Benitez does not have a history of violent criminal activity, and that they are unsure why he is not permitted to spend time unsupervised with his daughter. Benitez was described as about 3 feet tall, wearing a light coat and pajamas; her father is reportedly wearing a dark coat and jeans, and was last spotted at the Castle Hill Avenue subway stop in the Bronx.
