AMC, the country’s largest movie-theater chain, is tempting cinephiles back with 15-cent tickets on opening day. The chain is reopening more than 100 U.S. theaters that closed amid the coronavirus pandemic on August 20, offering “movies in 2020 at 1920 prices” for one day to honor the company’s centennial. AMC’s theaters shut down in March, and its reopening plans have been repeatedly delayed on account of summer movies pushing back their release dates.
