Here's one way to avoid the massive waits and lines at American Idol auditions. The Fox reality singing show has opened itself up to online auditions, which can be submitted through MySpace until Oct. 6. The entries must be no longer than 40 seconds, and hopefuls can chose an audition song from a list that includes Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone,” Keith Urban’s “Kiss a Girl,” and Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana.” An unspecified “select number” of people will be chosen to audition in Los Angeles based off their entries. Auditions were already held this summer in a number of cities, and another session was added for Sept. 22 in Los Angeles.
