A Syrian army strike against an ISIS stronghold left 18 jihadis dead, possibly including one American. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the air raid destroyed headquarters of the militants near Raqqa. Another raid struck near the Iraqi border and killed an undisclosed number of ISIS members. The bombings also allowed 13 prisoners of ISIS to escape. One American thought to be fighting for ISIS was recently named as Ahmad Abousamra, a Massachusetts resident using his computer skills to support the group.
