An American has been killed fighting against ISIS. Keith Broomfield, of Westminster, Massachusetts, died with Kurdish forces in Syria, and his family and the State Department confirmed his death Wednesday. “I didn’t want him to go but I didn’t have a choice in the matter,” Broomfield’s mother told NBC News. Kurds called him a “martyr” on social media.
