Andreja Pejic Undergoes Sexual Reassignment Surgery: In an exclusive interview, Andreja Pejic, the androgynous model that took the fashion scene by storm after modeling womenswear for Paris Vogue in 2010, opened up about her recent sexual reassignment surgery. “I wasn’t ready to talk about it before in a public way because I was scared that I would not be understood,” she said. “I didn’t know if people would like me. But now I’m taking that step because I’m a little older—I’m 22—and I think my story can help people.” []

CFDA Acquires Fashion Calendar: In order to streamline New York Fashion Week, the Council of Fashion Designers of America announced the acquisition of Fashion Calendar, the company that has organized fashion week’s shows and events for the past 60 years. “The Fashion Calendar has been one of the foundations of our industry, ensuring that the press, retailers, and designers are able to come together in an efficient manner,” Diane von Furstenberg, CFDA president, told WWD. “Now that it is part of the CFDA, we are prepared and excited to take it into the new world.” [WWD]

Vivienne Westwood’s Granddaughter Signs With Next: With a family history in the industry (her parents founded Agent Provocateur and her grandmother is designer Vivienne Westwood), its no surprise that after 17-year-old Cora Corre made her modeling debut for Love magazine, she has signed with Next Models. “Cora has such an infectious personality and a true love and understanding of British fashion,” Next Models London president Amanda Bretherton said. “We are thrilled to be representing her at Next.” [Telegraph]
