Ann Romney: Mitt ‘Will Not Fail’

Ann Romney, Mitt Romney’s wife, brought the house down in Tampa on Tuesday night with her passionate address at the Republican National Convention. The Romney campaign hoped her speech would help voters connect to her husband on a more emotional level. Fittingly, she spoke about their relationship, which has not been a “storybook marriage” as they’ve had to brave her battles with MS and breast cancer together. What they have, she said, is a “real marriage.” She made particularly passionate appeals to the female electorate, at one point shouting, “I love you women! And I hear your voices.” Her concluding promise: “This man will not fail.”
