Raymond Clark III, 26, a former lab technician at Yale, pleaded guilty Thursday to the 2009 murder and sexual assault of Annie Le, then a 24-year-old graduate student at the lab. Le disappeared in September 2009, days before her wedding. She was found strangled to death in the Yale Animal Research Center, her body stuffed in a hole in the wall with her bra pulled up to her neck and her underwear down. Clark admitted to sexually assaulting Le and strangling her after a struggle that was so violent it left blood spattered throughout the room and beads from her necklace were found through several rooms. Clark faces 44 years in prison, but he escaped the death penalty by accepting the plea deal.
