You never heard stories like this from the set of the Sound of Music. Another actor was injured during Monday’s preview performance of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark—the fourth injury to occur during the show’s preview period. A stunt-double for Spiderman fell eight to 10 feet into a pit when a line holding him apparently snapped. “You heard screams,” said one audience member. “You heard a woman screaming and sobbing.” The theater went black after the accident. When the lights went on, an announcement said there would be a delay; then, there was an update saying the performance was over. The actor, now identified as 31-year-old Christopher Tierney, was carried out of the theater on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace. He's currently in serious condition at New York's Bellevue Hospital.
