We didn't see this one coming. Helen Fielding, the author of the Bridget Jones novels, revealed that she killed off her protagonist's love interest, Mark Darcy, in her third installment of the series, titled Mad About the Boy. In the book, which will be released next month, Bridget is a 51-year-old single mother of two who is romantically involved with Roxster, a man who is 21 years her junior. Hugh Grant's character, Daniel Cleaver, returns as the godfather of Jones' two children.
