Anthony Scaramucci, former White House Director of Communications for Donald Trump, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank J. D. Vance for “knocking” him out of “the position of the worst Donald Trump hire.” Scaramucci’s tenure at the Trump White House lasted 10 days, during which he called former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus a “paranoid schizophrenic.” After getting the boot, he became a public critic of the former president and supported President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 and 2024 presidential elections. Like Vance, Scaramucci voiced concerns about Trump leading up to the 2016 elections, with the former comms director calling him a “hack politician” in 2015.
