Anthony Weiner on Friday was designated a Level-One sex offender by a New York judge. The disgraced former congressman has been living in a halfway house in the Bronx since his early release from federal prison in February. Weiner’s original release date was May 14, but he was let out for good behavior. Weiner, at one time a rising star in the Democratic party and New York City mayoral candidate, was convicted of having illicit online contact with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl in 2017. He began serving a 21-month prison sentence that year at the Federal Medical Center. His wife, Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, filed for divorce mere hours after his guilty plea.
