Apparent Beach Explosion Injures Woman

Authorities evacuated the Salty Brine Beach in Providence, Rhode Island Saturday morning after reports of a possible explosion there. A 50-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after being "trapped" on the rocks nearby but there were no other reports of the injuries. A report from witnesses alleged that one man walked along the beach with two full red bags which were later empty when he walked by again. There is no evidence at the moment of device that could have caused the disturbance but investigators say the beach experienced "ground force."
