Apple and Samsung Clash

Let the battle of the patents begin! Last year Apple Inc. sued South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for allegedly copying its iPhone and iPad designs, Samsung countersued, and now the case will finally be heard. A 10-member jury from Silicon Valley will be selected this week, giving Apple a notable home-court advantage. “Although certainly, if I were Samsung, I would be concerned about what prospective jurors think about Apple, given that it’s a huge employer there,” one jury consultant said.
