Apple Criticized for Allowing ‘Gay Cure’ App

It looks like there shouldn’t be an app for everything: Apple is facing criticism from gay rights groups after it allowed an application by a religious group that works to make gay people straight. The app, called Exodus International, created by a ministry with the same name, received a “4” rating from Apple—meaning the company believes the app contains "no objectionable material." Change.org has launched a petition against the app, and TruthWinsOut.com called Exodus’ message “hateful and bigoted.” Apple was criticized earlier this year for approving an app that encouraged users to take a stand against gay marriage. All apps must go through Apple before being made available for purchase.
