Apple announced Monday that the company’s founder, Steve Jobs, will unveil the “next generation” of software at their developers’ conference next week. Apple said the new software will include iCloud, a type of digital music locker; OSX Lion for desktop and laptop computers; and iOS5, the latest update to Apple’s mobile operating system, which includes the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. The iCloud system has been the subject of rumors, as it will allow users to stream songs from any Apple device and will eliminate the need to download them from iTunes.
