Apple Might Invest in Twitter

Apple has long made it easy to tweet from any iDevice imaginable. Now that close partnership may become financial. According to the New York Times, the company is considering making a "strategic investment" in the social networking site: a deal that could value Twitter at more than $10 billion, and put hundreds of millions of Apple's money at stake. Apple has an uneasy relationship with Facebook and Google, and a move on Twitter may be a way to fight back in an area where the tech giant has lagged: social networking. “Those guys are a great partner,” Twitter's CEO has said of Apple. “We think of them as a company that our company looks up to.”
