Apple has moved to address privacy concerns after tech researchers revealed iPhones and iPads were storing their users’ location data: The company has updated its iOS software for iPhones and iPads so that the devices only store users’ locations for a week, rather than for the entire life of the device. The new software will also no longer back up a user’s location data onto iTunes, and it will not collect location data at all when Location Services is turned off.
