Two brothers now face charges in the murder of 16-year-old Aranda Briones, who went missing in Southern California last month, according to ABC News. Owen Shover, 18, and Gary Shover, 21, were charged Friday with murder and conspiracy to commit murder, respectively. Briones, of Moreno Valley, was last seen on Jan. 13, and her friends told authorities that she had been dropped off at an area park. Owen was allegedly the last person spotted with Briones. He claimed to have dropped her off at that park, ABC notes. The teen’s body has not been located, officials said. Briones and Owen had been childhood friends, but “recently reconnected.” ABC reported that Briones’ family had pointed cops toward the Shovers in relation to her disappearance.
