Five of the victims in Tuesday’s truck attack on a New York City bike path were a group of friends from Argentina in town for a 30-year high-school reunion. Argentina’s foreign ministry said late Tuesday that the group had traveled together to celebrate the anniversary of their graduation from the Polytechnic College of Rosario. The ministry offered its condolences after the terror attack left eight people dead, saying it stands “with the families in this terrible moment of deep pain, which is shared by all Argentines.” Belgium’s deputy prime minister and foreign affairs minister identified another victim as a Belgian man. Belgian and Argentine nationals were also among the 11 wounded after a man driving a rented truck mowed down pedestrians on a path along the Hudson River.
