Former Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has been charged with treason for allegedly covering up possible Iranian involvement in a 1994 Jewish community center bombing in Buenos Aires, The Washington Post reported Thursday. Fernandez, who has immunity as a sitting senator, is accused of hiding Iran’S role in the attack, which killed 85 people, for a potentially trade deal. A federal court is requesting that her immunity be lifted. Three of her former aides and associates were also arrested and her former foreign minister was placed under house arrest.
