Allegedly snared other models into trafficking narcotics.
A Colombian beauty queen has been arrested for allegedly convincing women to smuggle cocaine from Argentina through Mexico and into Europe. Police had been searching for 31-year-old Angie Sanclemente Valencia for five months before discovering her in a Buenos Aires youth hostel. The model won the title of Coffee Queen in 2000 in a pageant, but was more recently dubbed “Narco Queen” by the Argentine media. The warrant for her arrest was issued when a 21-year-old model was found with more than 100 pounds of cocaine on a flight to Cancun. Sanclemente has denied the charges.
