Arizona Grandmother Allegedly Admits to Killing Two Autistic Grandchildren Before Attempting Suicide: Report
TRAGIC
An Arizona woman reportedly admitted to killing her twin 8-year-old autistic grandsons before attempting to kill herself, according to court documents released Monday. The Associated Press reported that 55-year-old Dorothy Flood allegedly shot Jaden and Jorden Webb multiple times while serving as the twin's sole provider after their mother died in 2017. Flood was reportedly arrested last Friday after both of the boys were found dead in a Tucson home, and she was found with “apparent overdose” symptoms from an “unknown quantity of prescription medication.” While Flood's motive for the alleged murders remains unclear, Flood may have reportedly been overwhelmed by her responsibilities taking care of the children. In court documents, Pima County sheriff’s officials reportedly said they believe Flood would try to commit suicide again if she were released. The AP reports Flood is being held on a $250,000 bond will face an April 15 hearing.
