Michael Maggio, a former judge in Arkansas, has been was sentenced to 10 years in jail for admitting that he lowered a jury award in a lawsuit in exchange for campaign donations. He was accused of accepting $50,000 two days before he reduced an award from $5.2 million to $1 million. Maggio had been previously removed from the bench after making inappropriate comments online including details about the adoption of actress Charlize Theron's child.
