Although Giorgio Armani already has a hotel in Dubai (in the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa), for his new flagship hotel, the fashion designer returned to his homeland. Jessica Alba, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, and many more stars came out on Thursday night to celebrate the opening of the Armani Hotel Milano, which features 95 rooms and suites, complete with Armani Casa furniture. “This is an act of love for my city,” Armani told Women’s Wear Daily. “I wasn’t born here, but this is my city … I like the idea of being remembered not only for my clothes, and I like to bring an element of luxury that adds prestige to the city.” The eight-floor modern hotel is located opposite the entrance of Milan’s Via Monte Napoleone, the city’s legendary high-end fashion shopping street. Those with 500 to 11,000 euros (about $680 to $14,950) to spend on accommodations can enjoy the hotel’s panoramic views, spa treatments, and “lifestyle managers,” to meet guests’ “every wish and need.”
