The U.S. Army will commission 22 women into leadership roles in ground combat operations. The Army announced in December that it would end restrictions that barred women from combat jobs. These 22 female officers are still finalizing training, and will become the force's first female combat officers when they graduate into the armor and infantry fields in the coming weeks.
