Arrest Made in Cali Kidnapping

After authorities called it a hoax.

A man was arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a woman who said she was taken from her home in Vallejo, California, in March, but was dubbed a hoax by police. Denise Huskins and her boyfriend claimed to have been tied up by robbers asking for a ransom, and then Huskins was taken and turned up on a beach two days later. The authorities called the couple's story an "orchestrated event." The FBI has now revealed that an arrest was made in June of a man who was identified as a suspect in a similar robbery.
