Arrest Made in Philly Strangling Case

IN CUSTODY

Suspect linked to three women’s deaths.

Shortly after identifying a person of interest, Philadelphia police have arrested a suspect in the notoriously grisly Kensington Strangler murders. Police say the man, 21-year-old Antonio Rodriguez, is implicated in the strangling deaths of three women in a rough section of the city. Rodriguez already had a bench warrant on his head from another case, and his name was brought to the police’s attention by an anonymous tip. No charges have been filed, nor has an arrest warrant been issued, but police still say the arrest was a “major break.”
