Texas officials charged a homeless man with arson in connection with the fire that burned an Islamic community center in Houston on Friday morning. Firefighters found substances that pointed to an incendiary fire, according to an assistant imam at the Quba Islamic Institute. The Council on American-Islamic Relations has requested the fire be investigated as a hate crime. According to a Houston reporter, the arrested man said he set the fire to stay warm.
