Arrests were made Tuesday in connection to the grisly discovery of dismembered body parts that were strewn around a Long Island park on Friday, the New York Post reported, citing police sources. No other details about the suspects were released, but they were reportedly taken into custody after cops raided a home in Amityville, New York. Photos of some of the body parts went viral over the weekend, including the chilling image of a severed, tattooed arm, which was discovered by a girl as she walked to school with a group of friends in Babylon. The group called 911 and police arrived to find other body parts scattered around the park, including two decapitated heads, belonging to a man and woman. The victims have not been identified by police, who reportedly said they’re going to have to rely on a DNA test after the slain duo had their fingertips removed. Police sources told the Post previously that they were probing if the slaying was related to gang violence—specifically the notorious MS-13 gang—but an update on that possible connection was not given Tuesday.
