Art theft is officially the crime of the week. After five masterpieces disappeared from a Paris museum on Thursday, five more highly prized pictures have been stolen from an art collector in the South of France. Most important among them was a Pablo Picasso lithograph depicting a woman’s face. The collector was beaten up and is currently in the hospital. According to the Art Loss Register, which keeps track of roughly 170,000 missing pieces worldwide, Picasso is the most popular artist among thieves.
