Arts and Culture Contributions Fall

Donations to the arts, culture and humanities organizations in the United States fell by 2.4 percent last year to $12.34 billion, as wealthy philanthropists seemed to shift their attention elsewhere. According to a new report by Giving USA and the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, education and public society giving also fell, while donations to international aid jumped 6.2 percent.
