Julian Assange is attempting to avoid extradition to Sweden by petitioning Britain's Supreme Court, he announced on Tuesday. The WikiLeaks founder's initial bid to remain in the U.K. has already been denied, and the Judicial Office has demanded that he be extradited to Sweden for an investigation into the accusations of rape against him. On Dec. 5, Assange plans to request that Britain's High Court judges determine his case an issue of "general public importance" worthy of Supreme Court attention.
