The political black sheep said Wednesday that he is forming an Australian WikiLeaks party and will nominate himself as a Senate candidate for the 2013 elections. The registration plans are “significantly advanced,” he says. But since Assange is currently living in the Ecuadoran Embassy in London, he could be unable to return to his homeland of Australia if elected—in which case a nominee would fill the seat.
