At least three people were killed Saturday when Islamist group al Shabaab bombed a restaurant in Mogadishu. Police said the Blue Sky restaurant was hit by a car bomb, leaving three dead and four injured. The restaurant is known to be frequented by security forces, and it’s located near a detention center that houses militants. Al Shabaab’s military operations spokesman confirmed that the group was behind the blast to Reuters, saying 10 people were killed in the attack. “We targeted the security forces and officers of the underground Jilaow cell who were there,” spokesman Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab was cited as saying.
