AT&T said in a statement on Wednesday that it was contacted by special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators regarding Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s longtime attorney. The company said it “cooperated fully” with the special counsel and “provided all information requested in November and December of 2017.” On Tuesday, it was revealed that AT&T invested in Cohen’s firm, Essential Consultants LLC, to gain “insights” about the Trump administration. The LLC was the same one Cohen used to orchestrate a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, who alleges that she had an affair with Trump.
