Audio Released of Oxford Shooter’s Dad James Crumbley Threatening Prosecutor in Unhinged Jail Call Rant
‘YOU’RE GOING DOWN’
Threatening prison phone calls made by James Crumbley, the father of Oxford school shooter Ethan Crumbley, were released by authorities this week, the Detroit Free Press reported. The enraged dad threatened to ruin Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald in multiple recorded calls made from his prison cell, Fox News reported. “Karen McDonald, you’re going down,” he said in one of the calls, which were referenced at his trial. “Go ahead, record this call. Send it to Karen McDonald. Tell her how James Crumbley’s going to take her down. She will not have a law license when I get done with her. And like I said, Karen McDonald will be working a f---ing McDonald’s because she won’t be able to get a f---ing job anywhere else.” Crumbley, who is serving a 10 to 15 year sentence for enabling his son to carry out the deadly 2021 shooting, called McDonald a “dumb, stupid b---h” and said he would go on a “rampage” once he got out of jail. He also called himself a “martyr” for doing time and compared his prison sentence to military service, opining that he, liked armed services members, was “fighting for everybody else’s freedom.”
