Visits to one of the most prominent relics of the mass murder of Jews in World War II are rising so fast that the Auschwitz death camp is urging potential visitors to make reservations beforehand. Last year's visits hit a record 1.5 million, but 250,000 have already visited this year—a 40 percent increase for the corresponding time period.
